What we’re looking for
As part of our team, you’ll actively use data to help shape market insights and influence key business decisions.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data analysis, shipping, and market research, giving you exposure to diverse aspects of the industry. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals from both shipping and consulting backgrounds, learning from their expertise as you grow in the role. Over time, you’ll also gain visibility with senior leadership.

You should also have solid technical skills in building reports, designing models, and utilizing software. A passion for the business side of shipping, along with the ability to identify key insights, will make you an even stronger candidate.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and own the team’s analytical infrastructure, including databases, models, and reports.

- Conduct and support analysis on supply and demand trends, delivering actionable, data-driven insights.
- Develop market models, automated reports, and advanced analytics to provide forecasts and support strategic planning.
- Perform targeted market, customer, and competitor analysis to inform commercial and strategic initiatives.
- Help shape and communicate a narrative based on insights to the market and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications

Nice to haves:
- Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and consistent manner and cooperate with all different levels of the organization.
- Experience in modern methods such as web-scraping.
At Wallenius Wilhelmsen, we're not just looking for a perfect requirement match - we're searching for passionate individuals with unique perspectives. Since we are looking for the best talents to join our company, we want to address a common concern: research shows that women and members of minority groups often hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every single requirement - give us the opportunity to decide if that's the case! Your experience and enthusiasm matter more than checking every box, and we'd love to have you on board!
